Bubimo ("the app", "we", "us") is a diary and journaling app developed and operated from Kerala, India. This policy describes what information the app handles, how it is stored, and the choices you have. By using Bubimo, you agree to the practices described here.
Bubimo does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following with us or any third party:
Bubimo does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or Crashlytics. The app does display a single banner advertisement, served through Google AdMob — see Section 7 for details on how this works and what data it involves.
All diary content is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database. This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly choose to back it up (see Section 5).
Important: if you uninstall the app without first creating a backup, all locally stored diary entries, images, and settings will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us. We do not hold a copy on any server.
Bubimo offers an optional App Lock feature for extra privacy, using either a PIN or a security question.
Signing in is entirely optional and is only required if you want to back up your diary data. If you choose to sign in with Google:
If you never use the backup feature, no account information is collected at all.
Bubimo requires an internet connection for two purposes: to fetch sticker packs and background presets that you can use to decorate your diary entries, and to load the banner advertisement described in Section 7. No diary content, images you've written, or personal information is sent over the internet as part of either process.
Bubimo shows a single, small banner advertisement, served through Google AdMob. The banner can be closed by tapping its close control if you'd prefer not to see it.
To serve ads, AdMob (via Google) may collect or process information such as your device's advertising identifier, general device information, approximate location (derived from IP address), and ad interaction data (e.g. impressions and clicks). This processing is carried out by Google, not by us — we do not receive or store this data ourselves.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your diary content with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. The third-party services involved are Google Drive (only if you opt in to backups, in which case the data goes directly to your own Drive storage) and Google AdMob (for serving the in-app banner ad, as described in Section 7).

Bubimo is a general productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and since diary data never leaves the device (except via an optional, user-initiated Drive backup), no personal diary information is transmitted to us regardless of the user's age.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Bubimo after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
